Prof. Lauri Carlson is Professor of Language Technology at University of Helsinki. He has extensive experience in multilingual language technology, esp. terminology, machine translation, constrained language parsing and dialogue modeling. Recently, he coordinated an EU MT project (MLIS Lingmachine), participated in a Nordic project on web-based CALL (NORFA Squirrel), and is currently directing a national Tekes research project (Fenix 4M) on multilingual dialogue management using Web ontology techniques.
