Dr. Strotmann has been a member of the scientific staff of the Center for Applied Computer Science at the University of Cologne since 1991. He has contributed to the development of the two principal content markup standards for mathematics on the web, OpenMath and MathML-Content. His expertise includes extensive experience with computer algebra systems (REDUCE), with cooperative distributed computing, and with XML-based multilingual web services.
